An original poem makes a beautiful way to pay tribute to a lost loved one.
Our Founder Lizzie, is always touched when she's asked to write a poem in memory of a much loved family member or friend.
At such a difficult time, it can be hard to know what to say, or to put into words all that that special person has meant and speaking at a funeral can be incredibly hard. Lizzie always writes with great sensitivity and is led wholly by what the family member or friend wants to say and the tone they wish to set.
The poem might be used in an order of service, to read in place of a eulogy, or simply to offer comfort and a lasting tribute to a loved one.
As Lizzie writes each commission with great care and befitting of the occasion, she does not set a word-count which might restrict the flow of her beautiful words. As a guide, the poem will be approximately 28-48 lines long, depending on the amount of information provided.
The poem will be foiled and framed for you and beautifully wrapped ready to give, or perhaps display at the funeral or wake. We understand that the poem may be needed at short notice, so will always do our best to accommodate you.
Just read your heartfelt poem, your talent and empathy are equal and for that, I admire you Lizzie. x

How it works
Your original poem will be written personally by award-winning poet and artist Lizzie Mole.
Based on a simple questionnaire that will be sent at the time of ordering, she'll ask for details about your loved one and anything that will allow her to create an affectionate portrait of your special person.
A draft will be sent to you by email for approval and any small changes can be made to ensure you are happy with the final piece.
Product details
Your poem will be printed on the highest quality archival paper from heritage paper merchant GF Smith.
The fine-grain smooth art paper is 240gsm and has been selected specifically for foiling to ensure a beautiful finish. Simply choose from silver, gold or rose gold at the point of ordering.
The framed poem is approximately A4 in size, with outside dimensions of 24.2 x 30.3cm and depth 3.7cm
Our frames are handmade in Brighton by a highly skilled framer, specialising in hand-finishing. We've chosen a simple hand-painted white frame with a slight grain to complement our foiled poems.
The frame has been designed with a recess, which means there is a space between the print and the glazing. This allows the light to really catch the foiled finish, as well as creating a gallery-style look, only achieved by professional framing.
The frame is made from sustainably sourced pine and is glazed with picture grade acrylic.

For Craig
To me, you were a huge smile,
to me, a funny word,
to me, a loud explosive laugh,
at a story that you’d heard.
To me, you were a big heart,
a sweet and tender boy,
who shone his light so freely,
to others bringing joy.
To me, you were unfolding arms
with hugs that would console,
in happy times, with all your warmth,
you hugged with heart and soul.
To me, you were a gentle man,
a very special friend,
and through the tears I know that
you are lovely to the end.
For you, I will remember
all these things, that you still are,
and though you’re gone, I promise
from my thoughts you’re never far.
This love will last forever,
even though we are apart,
I give you my unfolding arms,
and I hug you to my heart.
