An original poem offers a wonderful way to mark an anniversary. From a first 'Paper' celebration, to an incredible sixty year 'Diamond' landmark, a rhyming verse can really capture those special milestones in a couple's life.
The Original Poet will always write from your desired perspective. A husband might request a poem for his wife, so it will be written as though penned by him. (Don't worry, we're good at keeping secrets!) Or, you may want to give a poem from your family to parents, in which case, the verse will be written as if from all of you.
No formulas or templates are ever used in the writing of our poems. As Lizzie writes each commission with great passion, tuning in to what you would like to say, she does not set a word-count which might restrict the flow of her beautiful words. As a guide though, the poem will be around 28-48 lines long.
Once you have approved your poem, it will be turned into a beautiful foiled print in a choice of silver, gold or rose gold and hand-embossed with our original signature mark. It will then be beautifully framed and gift-wrapped, ready to present to the couple as they celebrate together.

How it works
When you order, you will be sent a short questionnaire asking for the lowdown on your special someone.
Your poem will then be personally written by our founder, award winning poet and artist Lizzie Mole. Taking your anecdotes, facts, nicknames and memories, she will weave them into a uniquely original, often humorous poem.
A draft will be sent to you by email for approval and any tweaks can be made if needed.

Your poem will be printed on the highest quality archival paper from heritage paper merchant GF Smith.
The fine-grain smooth art paper is 240gsm and has been selected specifically for foiling to ensure a beautiful finish. Simply choose from silver, gold or rose gold at the point of ordering.
The framed poem is approximately A4 in size, with outside dimensions of 24.2 x 30.3cm and depth 3.7cm
Our frames are handmade in Brighton by a highly skilled framer, specialising in hand-finishing. We've chosen a simple hand-painted white frame with a slight grain to complement our foiled poems.
The frame has been designed with a recess, which means there is a space between the print and the glazing. This allows the light to really catch the foiled finish, as well as creating a gallery-style look, only achieved by professional framing.
The frame is made from sustainably sourced pine and is glazed with picture grade acrylic.

A year ago dear Daniel,
I became your wife,
it really was the perfect day,
the best day of my life!
Some say that it’s the first year
that in marriage is a test,
but I have loved each day with you,
being married is the best!
And look at all the things we’ve done,
and just how much we’ve grown.
A dog, a baby on the way,
and we’ve bought a brand new home.
I must admit I’m dizzy
at the progress that we’ve made,
our adventure’s getting bigger,
as each new plan is laid.
And so I want to tell you
on this anniversary day,
just how much I love you,
it’s in each and every way.
I’m told that giving paper
is a gift to mark this time,
and so I thought I’d write it down,
and give to you this rhyme.
And so my darling husband,
together we are ‘one’,
I send you all my love today,
and for all the years to come!
